What better place to hear a bus story than on a bus of course.

Jay-Jay’s book is available through all the usual places such as Waterstones, WH Smith, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com but it also appears in other friendly places too such as Amberley Museum .Amberley heritage Museum

It was lovely to be invited to Amberley Museums children’s event on Bank Hoilday Monday 29th August .

I had been invited to come along and read my book on a bus and what a lovely old bus it was.Story bus Book

UF6805 is affectionately known as ‘Chicken Shed’.

During the Second World War this old bus was requisitioned by the army and used to transport POW’s and Land Girls to help out on the farms.

At the end of the war the old bus was left behind and forgotten, it was commandeered by the chickens. It was used as a hen house and was found in a very sad and dirty state.

Amberley museum rescued it in the 1970’s and worked hard to restore it back to an original condition. It is now proudly on display at the Museum.

UF 6805 'Chicken Shed'It was such an honour to be able to share my book in such a fantastic old bus.

Now that’s a story to write!

Jay-Jay would love this! I did!
