‘Maggie’s Red Circus Bus’, was all set to head off on the blog tour road.
Thank you to Rachels Random Resources for organising and watching over the tour and bloggers.
The date was set for 26th September to 2nd October. With three different stops each day where bloggers would be posting their reviews.
All went well and everyone managed to catch the bus.
Just before the tour started a lovely review arrived from ‘Readers Favourite’. Emily-Jane Hills Orford has reviewed some of my previous books and her review was a great start to the tour.

Maggie's Circus Bus is full of bright and vibrant illustrations designed to catch the eye and the story inside is guaranteed to delight the younger child. @Staceywh_17
The illustrations bring the activities to life and full of colour and movement. The costumes and circus themed props are bright and joyous and reflects the Playbus. @Cat and Mouse Reading
This is a fun picture book with some lovely illustrations. Every day Maggie drives the red playbus to pick up the children for some fun activities. The children love it when they get on the playbus, there they can do some art, dressing up, play games and more. @The Strawberry Post

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus is a fun children’s book. Very cute, engaging story. Eye catching illustrations featuring diverse characters. A fun book either for kids wanting to be read to or able to read on their own. @Stacey-Ann Says
The great thing is this is based on a real circus playbus that goes around, there are some photos of the bus at the end of the book. This is an engaging read. My 3 year old grandson loves books but sometimes he is happy looking at the pictures and spotting different things. @Jackiesreadingcorner
This book is filled with bright and eye catching illustrations and my children loved looking and naming all the different items and activities the children were doing in the background. We had lots of fun naming all the different things that the children could see in the pictures and naming all the colours. @Bookworm86

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus is beautifully illustrated by Jo Anne Davies and will encourage discussion around this circus-themed story. It is a delightful story which will no doubt fire a child's imagination with ideas of lions, clowns, trapeze artists and much more. @Against the Flow
Ada said she thought it was a very happy and fun book. She likes the bus and wishes there was a real Playbus. @Pause the Frame
A lovely book for reading with younger children, who will love the colourful pictures and a great read for older children. @Theweebookworm

When your boy is obsessed with buses and the opportunity for a book bus tour comes up, then we just had to join it! B read this one to me, it’s a fantastic uplifting story, full of colourful pictures. A great addition to B book collection. @Scotsbookworm
This is such a lovely read, we would love a visit from the play bus. A bus filled with creative ideas where you can learn and make anything. Autumn loved the idea of putting on a circus performance and spent the next hour practising her acrobatics. @malloch_books
I read this book to my beaver scouts at our summer camp several weeks ago. Oh, my goodness, did they enjoy it? Oh yes, they did. They asked if there was a Playbus in our town they could visit…. They asked if they could have a circus themed camp or sleepover (we will be doing that, @karen_loves_reading
30th September (official release day)
Aimed at children aged three to nine, whilst still enjoyed by all of the bookworms, the younger ones {aged 4 and 5} straight away shouted for the story to be 'read again' whereas the older two, more confident readers {7 and 9} were keener to tie in aspects of the story with their recent visit to the circus. @Pen and Paper
Primarily aimed at younger readers between the ages of 4 and 7, I nevertheless shared my ARC at bedtime with my almost three-year-old and it sustained his attention all the way through. There are plenty of things within the Playbus that young children will be able to relate to, such as dressing up costumes, face painting and circus and gymnastics skills. @Pickled thoughts and pinot
My daughter loves this story and has been inspired to put on circus shows for her teddies! We loved the beautiful, detailed illustrations, @bookworm_lindsey
1st October
The illustrations are colourful, and super beautiful! Perfect to catch the eyes of the Littles ones and bring the story to life.
The red circus bus in this story is REAL!! @BookMeSomeTime
A new playbus full of costumes, toys and circus fun
Inspires the children, a show to put on!
Read this delightful, colourful book
To see what role everyone took! @Splashes Into Books
My grandkids enjoyed this story and wanted to know why we didn’t have playbuses. We talked about other places where they could go to do the types of things the kids did on the bus. We also talked about what they are good at and what their act could be. It was a lot of fun and we ended up playing music and dancing around, and painting some pictures. @Carla loves to read
2nd October
The whole book is very colourful and appealing. The illustrations are full of detail and make perfect starting points for discussions with our children. @Christian Bookaholic
Maggie´s Red Circus Bus is a recommended read for preteens, either native English speakers or learning the language. The children can read it themselves, try to build a little theatre scene or just listen while they parents are reading it. Either way, it will bring light and a fun into both children and adult´s lives. @WildWritingLife
This book is the perfect example of having fun while working together. Colourful, easy to read and follow, I’d highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading it to/with my soon to-be grandchild. @A Mother's Musing

The Request Stop
At the end of the tour came an extra stop when Simon Leonard @Black Book Blogs hopped on with his review.
Amelia, my eldest, really enjoyed reading it and thought it was a great book with lots of nice pictures. She said the story was really good and loved the adventure the bus went on with the children whilst they planned their acts to show to people and how each child was included.
Olivia my youngest loves the fact she could read it herself and enjoyed looking at all the pictures which are really colourful.
Simon has reviewed my previous books and his girls love them, so it was good to hear his review.
Even better was a lovely photo of his daughter with the books which she treasures and reads over and over again.
A Playbus to Visit
Simon also told me his wife’s playgroup have a Playbus. So, my next road trip will be to go and visit a bus in Maidstone.
I loved reading and hearing from all those who took the time to read and review the book. I was especially pleased to hear the thoughts and opinions of the children. As well as how the book promoted discussion and play.
