New Book - 'Maggie's Circus Bus'

The Bewbush Playbus was the start of my writing journey.
Having written the photographic history book about the project itself I have been surprised to hear that the original project still has a lot of interest.

"What a shame it isn't still her," is the comment often said.
But at least it's memories and adventures continue.
When I originally published the first storybook to go with the real history book, my daughter commented that she would like me to write more about the bus project she remembers.
Daisy Daydream, named after the white daisies on the bus, is the part of the story in which I became involved.
Gloria was the last version of the Playbus, a Leyland Atlantean.
Before Gloria was painted she was a red bus. She had turned up for the 'Circus' themed carnival parade and a few of the children won prizes for their fancy dress costumes.

My brother had enlisted a few local children, marching down to the local shops to collect cardboard boxes to cut out, paint, and decorate the bus ready for the parade.
this was the start of the story and an idea I usedin the story. Mix that with the new 'red'  Ipswich Playbus and the story grew.
The Ipswich Playbus was called Maggie and their new replacement bus is Dennis, (the make-of-bus model).
So finally here is the story: for my daughter who remembers the bus fondly and for my brother whose story this is plus for Maggie (the Ipswich Bus), Mandy the driver and of course the new replacement bus Dennis.
I wish their project lots of luck and funding too.
At least their bus (as well as other buses including 'Buffy' the Playbus and Hackney Playbus) are still around and offering support to not just children but families too.
The Playbus was certainly my haven.
