Bewbush Walk

A Spooky Tale now ready to print I wondered if the original walk was still there and whether it had changed.

So, one sunny summers day, I decided to go and check it out.

The Community Centre had gone and was replaced by a new Leisure Centre. The shopping area and car park had changed too but the walk was much the same.

The walk took me under the sub-way and along the path beside the stream.

There were changes along the way and a path that now led around the pond. A wooden bridge led across and over the water. The pond was full of wildlife, with herons and ducks and geese. (No swans)Swans

A small child arrived with a bag of bread and the geese sped through the water with eager anticipation.

The area was certainly greener and more grown up but still recognisable.

The only major change was the gazebo where my class had once stood to watch the ducks and swans. Now this area had tall reeds obscuring the view of the water.

The walk remained almost the same, it really was a calm and peaceful walk. I wondered if the schools still took the time to explore and investigate their local environment.
